Director, producer, screenwriter, Beija Flor Filmes co-owner. Been producing films focusing on LGBTQIA+ universe issues, most notably awarded feature film “Alice J\u00fanior” (2019), internationally premiered at the Generation 14plus competition of the 70th Berlin International Film Festival. Besides being selected to more then thirty international festivals, the movie was screened in some important film festivals in Brazil such as the 52nd Brasilia Film Festival, the 27th Mix Brasil Festival of Cultural Diversity, the 21st Rio de Janeiro Int’l Film Festival, and the 43rd S\u00e3o Paulo Int’l Film Festival.<\/p>\n

L\u00cdVIA PEREZ<\/strong> \"\"Filmmaker, producer and researcher. She directed and produced films such as “Lampi\u00e3o da Esquina” (2016), “Who Killed Elo\u00e1” (2015) and “Flesh” (2019, dir. Camila Kater), screened and awarded at festivals such as Locarno, TIFF, IDFA, It’s All True International Documentary Film Festival, Mix Brasil, DOK Leipzig, Hot Docs, Havana, Guadalajara and Cartagena. She is a doctoral student in media and audiovisual
\nprocesses at School of Communication and Arts of University of S\u00e3o Paulo (ECA-USP) and was a visiting researcher at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2020.0.<\/p>\n

ADRIANA COUTO<\/strong> \"\"Journalist and host of Metr\u00f3polis, one of the most traditional art and culture programs on Brazilian television, for more than ten years. At TV Cultura, she also commanded the news program Jornal da Cultura. Awarded for her performance as a reporter and presenter, in 2019 she released the documentary short O Fervo, her first experience as a director.<\/p>\n

JURY: BRAZILIAN COMPETITION – SHORTS\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

ASAPH LUCCAS<\/strong> \"\"Multidisciplinary black artist LGBTI+ who grew up on the outskirts of the East Side of SP. Member of Coletivo Gleba de P\u00eassego, co-directed and scripted the short films “Transl\u00facidos” and “Menarca”, in addition to writing the medium-length film “Negritudes Brasileiras”. His third short film, “Bonde” (2019), won the Best Brazilian Short Film at the 27th Festival Mix Brasil<\/p>\n

BRUNA LINZMEYER<\/strong> \"\"Born in the countryside of Santa Catarina state, she is one of the main actresses and voices of her generation, having won in ten years of career several prominent roles in television and cinema: her achievements already includes nine television productions and fourteen characters in cinema, among short films and long, plus more than ten award nominations.<\/p>\n

CAROLINA MARKOWICZ<\/strong> \"\"Wrote and directed six short films, which were screened in more than 300 festivals \u2013 Cannes, Locarno, Toronto, SXSW and AFI among them \u2013 coming out winners of more than a hundred of them. More than 60 of these awarded by her most recent film, “The Orphan”, which premiered at the Director’s Fortnight section at Cannes 2018, winning the Queer Palm. Been heralded by IndieWire amongst “the world\u2019s most exciting new filmmakers” of the present time.<\/p>\n

\"\"Actress, playwright, poet, theater director and teacher at Santo Andr\u00e9 Theater Free School. Among her recent works, two stage shows should be highlighted: the poetic-musical “Segunda Queda” (Second Fall), in which she signs text and direction and also performs, and premiered at Teatro Oficina, and “the 3 uiaras from sp city”, awarded at the S\u00e3o Paulo Cultural Center (CCSP) Dramaturgy Festival. Actress in the
\nfilm “Southern Sorceresses”.<\/p>\n

GUILHERME MARQUES<\/strong> \"\"Olhares Instituto Cultural president, producer, cultural manager and actor. He is the founder and head director of the International Ecum Theater Center (CIT-Ecum), head coordinator of the World Meeting of Performing Arts and the International Development Center for Stage Arts. He did coordination, production and artistic consulting for several national and international festivals. He is the founder and production head director for the S\u00e3o Paulo International Theater Fetival (MITsp).<\/p>\n

VANESSA BRUNO<\/strong> \"\"Actress and director. Graduated in cinema by Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP) and master in performing arts by School of Communication and Arts of University of S\u00e3o Paulo (ECA-USP), she was for 17 years at Center for Theater Research (CPT), coordinated by director Antunes Filho, on projects as an actress, also conducting experiments and teaching rhetoric and theories to actors through the Method Acting Introduction course at CPTzinho-Sesc. For 10 years she has been investigating the displacement of Clarice Lispector’s literature to the scene, a research that resulted in three stage shows, among them her most recent solo \u201cThe Waters of the World\u201d from the novel “An Apprenticeship or The Book of Pleasures”. She is a proponent of VULC\u00c3O [cria\u00e7\u00e3o e pesquisa c\u00eanica], where she also directed the shows based on the literature of Sylvia Plath (\u201cPulse\u201d) and Marguerite Duras (\u201cThe Pain\u201d), and in process \u201cOrlandx\u201d, based on the work of Virginia Woolf.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
