Shala is the story of Pedro, a young boy living in an orphanage in the Amazon. The boy creates situations to draw the attention of possible adoptive parents, while at the same time cultivating an imaginary friendship with his only toy, a doll named Shala.

Nascido Jaime Melo, em Castanhal, região metropolitana de Belém do Pará, Jaloo mora atualmente em São Paulo. Ele faz música pop, eletrônica e experimental – mas que não parece com nada do que se espera dessas definições –, remexe as músicas de artistas como Rihanna e Donna Summer, sem medo de sacrilégio, e deixa com sua cara. Jaloo compõe, canta, interpreta, remixa, arranja e produz. Seu primeiro álbum, “#1”, está saindo agora pela StereoMono, selo da Skol Music.

He makes pop, electronic and experimental music – but different from what is expected from these rhythms – mixing up songs by artists like Rihanna and Donna Summer, without fearing sacrilege, up to the point of letting them with his mark. Jaloo composes, sings, plays, remixes, arranges and produces. His first album, “#1” is out now by StereoMono, Skol Music label.

Praised by Justin Timberlake and considered the new David Bowie by British newspaper The Guardian, Daniel, from Ceará state, was dubbed “Brazilian Electro Prince” by MTV in New York. His debut album, “Mastigando Humanos” was awarded Best Electronic Music album by the Dynamite Prize for Independent Music .

As Bahias e a Cozinha Mineira

As Bahias e a Cozinha Mineira trazem seu show especial para o Mix Music. O trio, formado pelas cantoras e compositoras Raquel Virgínia e Assucena Assucena e por Rafael Acerbi (guitarra e violão), virá com o repertório de seu primeiro álbum, “”Mulher””, além dos frequentes clássicos da MPB. Num formato acústico e mais próximo do público, os artistas ficam à vontade para novas experimentações e para cantar músicas que não costumam entrar no roteiro de suas já famosas apresentações, como sucessos de Lupicínio Rodrigues, Gal Costa e Belchior. “Mulher” chegou aos ouvidos dos fãs em novembro do último ano e, desde então, a banda tem se dedicado aos ensaios e ao desenvolvimento de um espetáculo sinestésico, que teve estreia em 18 de março, no palco da Sala Itaú Cultural, em São Paulo, com o intuito de criar uma apresentação que combine música e atuação cênica. A linha narrativa do disco explora uma infinidade de personagens femininas e, no palco, Raquel Virgínia e Assucena Assucena dão vida a todas elas.

As Bahias e a Cozinha Mineira bring their special show for Mix Music. The trio, formed by singers and songwriters Raquel Virgínia and Assucena Assucena, and Rafael Acerbi (electric and acoustic guitar), will come with the songs from their first album, “Mulher”, in addition to the frequent classic Brazilian music songs. Performing na acoustic and closer to the public set, the artists are free to new trials and to sing songs that are usually off the setlist of their already famous performances such as hits by Lupicínio Rodrigues, Gal Costa and Belchior. “Mulher” reached the fans’ ears last November and since then the band has been devoted to the testing and development of a synesthetic show, which premiered on March 18, on the stage of Itaú Cultural Hall, in São Paulo, aiming a presentation that combines music and stage performance. The album follows a storyline that explores a multitude of female characters and, on stage, Rachel Virginia and Assucena Assucena give life to all of them.
