SYNOPSIS: If it’s true that behind every great man is a great woman, Harvard psychologist Dr. William Moulton Marston was fortunate enough to have two: his wife, Elizabeth Marston, and their mistress Olive Byrne. In addition to helping him refine the lie-detection test, the women in Marston’s life helped him with his research on human behavior. But there was a price the Marston family had to pay for their unconventional ideas: the Professor and his wife were both banished from academic life, leaving at risk the financial life of their research and their own livelihood. Despite these problems, the family persevered and Elizabeth and Olive’s courage and challenging drive in the face of the adversities led the teacher to the creation of the woman of his dreams, the Wonder Woman – the first female superhero that soon became a phenomenon and a target for the censors at the time.
