THIAGO CARVALHAES. Has a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences – Anthropology by Unicamp. He completed his master’s degree by Doc Nomads in Documentary Film Direction which happens among Lusófona (Portugal), SZFE (Hungary) and LUCA School of Arts (Belgium). Throughout the course, he directed the short film She, Gis (2016), an investigative documentary on Gisberta Salce, awarded at many film festivals such as Mix Brasil, CachoeiraDoc (Cachoeira Documentary Film Festival), Gramado Film Festival, Curta Kinoforum (São Paulo International Short Film Festival), Curta Cinema (Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival) and Documenta Madrid (International Documentary Film Festival). Among other works of him are the project Voices of the Forest (2013) about rubber tappers who are also musicians in the Amazon, carried out with anthropologist Roberto Rezende; the short fim Body Text: Our Bones (2014), screened at the 22nd Mix Brasil, and the interactive documentary Politics of Deforestation (2015) carried out with NGO InfoAmazônia.
