MARTTE, 23, was born in São Paulo and sings from a very young age. Her mother says that at the age of 4 she could already see him around the house humming and taking objects for microphone. He grew up in the evangelical church, where he discovered his vocal talent and vocation for composition, having developed more of these talents in elementary school.
Influenced in his sonority and composition by artists such as Tim Maia, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé and Amy Winehouse, and mixing his favorite musical styles – R&B, pop, Brazilian and electronic music –, MARTTE wove his own musical aesthetic, for which the artist calls himself “pop soul”.
With 7 released singles and 4 music videos, MARTTE has already performed at Avenida Paulista, Cine Joia, Festa Gambiarra, Aparelha Luzia, Festivália, Festival O Fino da Zica, International Southern Music Fair (FIMS). He has been a finalist in the SESI-SP Song Festival and participated in musicals such as “Icaro and the Black Stars”, by Ícaro Silva, and “DZI Croquettes”. Recently, he was selected to perform at Rio2C, the biggest innovation and creativity event in Latin America, being considered one of the big bets for the national musical market.
